Dragon Quest XI has finally been announced for a Western release. I was beginning to get a bit concerned by the lack of news on a date, but it appears we finally have one on September 4th this year. Unfortunately, it appears that as of this writing, we will sadly not be getting the 3DS version, which I must say is disappointing, because I really liked the idea of being able to switch between modern and retro-style graphics.

However, the game will be coming to PS4, Steam, and eventually the Switch. The game looks like it will be yet another great journey in the consistently wonderful series of classic RPGs. No word on a collector’s edition yet, but I will update the post accordingly if and when one becomes available.
