Season 2 of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon? (or Danmachi, for short) has recently been announced, and I am certainly looking forward to it. I’ve been keeping up with the light novels and can’t wait to see more of the story animated. If you haven’t read them, pick them up over on Amazon. Today’s post is a bit of a crossover celebration!
In commemoration of Super Sonico’s 10th anniversary as the Nitroplus, Tsuji Santa drew Sonico dressed as the Goddess Hestia! Good Smile Company has taken that lovely illustration and turned it into a figure. As you can see above, Good Smile Company has done an awesome job of bringing the illustration into figure form.
Hestia’s hairstyle looks great on Sonico, as does her outfit which compliments the character’s curves well. Sonico wears her signature headphones and Hestia’s signature blue ribbon. Hestia’s outfit has a “virgin killer” sweater look to it, revealing Sonico’s back. Good Smile didn’t skimp on the detail here, her flowing hair looks amazing and her body is perfectly sculpted.
Sonico is 1/7 scale and sits upon a heart base decorated with a blue ribbon. A bromide illustration card of the original drawing that is the basis for the figure will be included as a first edition limited bonus, so be sure to get your order in early!
